The hall
Rules
HIGHSEAT lives at highseat.lol. It is a public hall. There are no ads, no algorithms, and no taste-makers. You pay to sit. Rank is the bid — nothing else.
How ranking works
- New seats start at $1. Bid more to climb — rank is the bid, so the throne is whoever paid most.
- The throne is seat #1. Taking it costs at least $1 more than the current monarch.
- Seats 2–10 sit on the dais below the throne. Pay $1 more than a seat and you take it — everyone below you shifts down.
- Paying less still puts you in the gallery at whatever rank that bid can buy.
- Equal bids stay in the order they were placed — the older seat keeps the higher rank.
Raising a bid
- Enter the same website or @handle again to raise that listing.
- The new bid must be at least $1 above the current bid. You only pay the difference.
- Raising a bid cannot rename the seat. The name is locked to the URL that sat first.
- Someone else cannot take your rank by paying that difference. They must beat the full amount.
What may sit
- A product website, or an X @handle (with the @).
- Chat, invite, and short links are not allowed. The hall is for products and profiles, not group chats.
- Query parameters, logins in the URL, and tracking links are stripped or refused.
Payment
- A bid is a one-time Stripe Checkout charge for the amount you pay — the full bid on a new seat, or the difference when you raise.
- Money is collected by StockRadar UK. The seat only stamps after the payment succeeds.
- If you close checkout, nothing is charged and the hall does not move.
The spectacle
The monarch fills the throne. Nine more seats sit on the steps in front of the hall, so you can see who holds the top ten. Everyone else stands in the gallery. If you take a seat on the dais, the room announces it. If you lose the throne, the ledger keeps the reign — who sat, how much, how long.
